Payroll
If you are not paying taxes properly, you could be in a lot of trouble. Having a tax attorney to work with you is the key to resolving payroll issues and determine the best arrangements or settlements to make sure that you will not lose your rights and livelihood.
Tax issues should not be taken for granted. Ignoring your tax duties could mean a significant number of implications, such as losing your business and rights to challenge business tax assessment and having IRS seize all of your personal assets.
What are Payroll Taxes?
They are legal requirements for employee and employers. Payroll taxes are calculated each paycheck. The employer then pays taxes as well based on the employee’s salary.
In standard withholding, it is referred as the original sum of money taken from each paycheck. The amount of money is adjusted by completing Form W4. The money withheld for tax purposes must be equal to the overall sum of money that you owe for taxes for that year.
FICA (Federal Insurance Contribution Act) taxes are different from standard withholding taxes. These taxes contribute to the Medicare and Social Security programs. The FUTA (Federal Unemployment Tax) goes to a fund for those taxpayers who lost their jobs. The overall amount is not deducted from a tax payer’s salary.
